There has been so much and not enough going on at the same time. Our lives are in a holding pattern right now and I don't do well with that. We are set to move soon. We just don't have a place to move to. We are considering buying a place on 6 beautiful acres with a not so beautiful house that would need some re-styling inside. And I mean like an internal rebuild...moving walls, rooms, making windows, etc. I just don't know if I am up to that, but I think we would have great results and get a house that we really liked in return.
We made something else from the Twinkie Cookbook. It was Twinkie Burritos but I have modified it and call it Twinkie Tacos. We took raw flour tortilla dough, rubbed it with butter and sugar and cooked them. Meanwhile, heat up your Twinkie at about 300 degrees for 15-20 minutes, just enough to get it warm and gushy. Smear chocolate syrup on the tortilla, then put sliced strawberries or cherry pie filling on top of that, then add the twinkie. Then you just fold it like a taco and enjoy! Very yummy, yet very rich. Whipped cream would probably be delicious as another topping! Maybe I'll try that next time. My friend got her own Twinkie Cookbook and made the Twinkie Bundt Cake. She said it was delish!
Oh, and hubby brought home another animal. He found a white bunny with black spots at the park and brought it home. It was obviously a pet because it was so tame and it had obviously been out there a while because he was just fur and bones. I have never felt a more bony, pathetic bunny. We have had him for a week and he is fattening up well. He has so much more pep in his step it is unreal, but he is still extraordinarily sweet. For anyone who has lost count, that would make 2 dogs, 1 cat, 1 guinea pig, 2 parakeets and 2 turtles. Oh, and one bunny. Bad Stormy has lived up to her name and hates him. She is a hissing wreck whenever he is around. I can feel the love! I will try to get pictures of him up as soon as I can. I have been working a lot of overtime to pay for our move so that leaves less time for bunny photoshoots.

Twinkie Sushi
A friend of mine gave me The Twinkie Cookbook a couple of days ago. There were a ton of cute things in there. This is the first one the boys and I made. It looked cuter in the book, but we couldn't find all of the stuff they used. They still came out cute and the boys had fun. Mind you, they are 13 and 14 and they still enjoyed it. We used Fruit by the Foot for the seaweed. In the book they had used those fruit leather smooshed fruit, but I couldn't find any in green. We used fruit gummies for the inside stuff.
